Uses
- Glucose determination.
- Also used for Erythrocyte electrophoresis, anti-alkali haemoglobin and lactate.
Precaution
- Recommended storage temperature: 4-25°C.
- Invert the tube 8-10 times immediately after drawing the blood.
- It is poisonous and should not be used for blood transfusion.
- Blood examination is preferred within one hour of collection as some cellular distortion becomes evident thereafter
